TYPE B Air Casters for Heavy Load Moving

Modular air caster units from 3.2 T to 15 T per module. Combine 4, 6 or more units for sets handling 12 T to 90 T with 360-degree rotation and low-friction positioning.

TYPE B air caster unit with modular air film module for heavy load moving

Product Overview

TYPE B air casters are the standard modular air film units in our range. Each module carries 3.2 T to 15 T and uses a flexible air cushion that forms a thin air film between the cushion and the floor. Because the load floats on air, moving force drops dramatically - the friction coefficient reaches 0.0005 - so a single operator can position heavy equipment that would otherwise need cranes or rails.

Units are combined in sets of 4, 6, 8 or more according to load weight, equipment footprint and center of gravity. This modular approach keeps a small inventory compatible with many machine sizes.

Structure & Components

Floor Requirements

Air casters require a smooth, flat and sealed floor with gaps no larger than 3 mm. Epoxy-coated concrete, polished concrete and steel plate flooring are recommended. Rough, cracked or unsealed surfaces prevent the air film from forming and must be prepared before installation. We review your floor condition and provide preparation guidance before quotation.

FAQ

Q1: What information is needed before choosing an air caster system?
To recommend a suitable air caster system, please provide load weight, equipment dimensions, floor condition, moving distance, turning requirement, available air supply and application scenario.
Q2: Can air casters be customized for my equipment?
Yes. Air caster systems and transfer platforms can be customized according to load weight, equipment size, working environment, movement route and positioning requirements.
Q3: Do air casters require compressed air?
Yes. Air casters require a suitable compressed air supply to form the air film between the air cushion and floor surface. Air flow and pressure requirements are listed in the specification table.
